WHY BEESWAX
Did you know that Beeswax emits light similar to the light spectrum of the sun? Because Beeswax burns hotter than most waxes, it also emits the brightest, most warm-toned flame of any other wax. That's why folks often describe the light from these candles as the most beautiful. Beeswax Candles have been the preferred candles of Kings and the aristocracy for centuries.
NO PHTHALATES, NO PARABENS, & LEAD FREE
More simply stated... All our candles at Lazy Goat Studio are made with 100% Beeswax and contain no phthalates, no parabens and are lead free. They should give you many hours of drip free enjoyment. Purchase the most ethically sourced and healthy items possible for you and your family.
BEESWAX IS THOUGHT TO CLEAN THE AIR
Did you also know that Beeswax is know for cleaning the air? When beeswax candles burn, they are thought to produce negative ions that attach to positive ions (like dust, pollen, mold, odor, toxins) floating in the air which cause the particulars to fall to the ground via static electricity. One of the reasons so many asthma and allergy sufferers find beeswax candles appealing.
Our Honey
We believe honey should be raw, extracted with minimal heat and filtered only by gravity, protecting the beneficial pollen, micro-enzymes, and phytonutrients.
We are also proud to support other regional, like-minded family beekeepers that value simple and effective, old-fashioned methods like filtering by gravity and extracting in the heat of a late Wisconsin summer. We plant specifically for pollinators, and practice sustainable bee husbandry that includes breeding hardy northern queens to better survive our cold winters. There's no catch here, just thoughtful Wisconsin beekeepers bringing you a taste of nature's gold.
By adding specific trees, shrubs, and perennials, we have been able to vastly improve the forage of pollinators, dramatically affecting entire ecosystems.
We can see firsthand how dearths of pollen and nectar are being relieved, increasing the number of pollinators, birds, and insects - a ripple that is felt by all of the local grasslands and woodlands. Giving back to the earth as a thank you for what she has so generously given to us.
