Our Pasilla de Oaxaca Infused Honey is a hot and smoky perfection! The secret is in the Oaxaca peppers, which are left to ripen on the vine and smoked with fruitwood, giving this honey a smoldering richness with a medium kick. A perfect gift for your family’s grill master!  Lovely drizzled over pizza, wings and in baked beans.  Adds a meaty, complex and smoky note.  Store at room temperature.  12oz

 

RECOMMENDED USES
This Honey LOVES cheese- especially an aged cheddar. Drizzle on ribs, pizza, and wings. Use as a final glaze on brisket and chicken. Add a little smoky heat to your favorite barbecue sauce and beans!

We believe honey should be raw, extracted with minimal heat and filtered only by gravity, protecting the beneficial pollen, micro-enzymes, and phytonutrients.
We are also proud to support other regional, like-minded family beekeepers that value simple and effective, old-fashioned methods like filtering by gravity and extracting in the heat of a late Wisconsin summer. We plant specifically for pollinators, and practice sustainable bee husbandry that includes breeding hardy northern queens to better survive our cold winters. There's no catch here, just thoughtful Wisconsin beekeepers bringing you a taste of nature's gold.

By adding specific trees, shrubs, and perennials, we have been able to vastly improve the forage of pollinators, dramatically affecting entire ecosystems.
We can see firsthand how dearths of pollen and nectar are being relieved, increasing the number of pollinators, birds, and insects - a ripple that is felt by all of the local grasslands and woodlands. Giving back to the earth as a thank you for what she has so generously given to us.
